Why I Started The Dandy Handyman.
I started this company for one simple reason. I wanted to give folks across the Portland metro area the best handyman service I could, at a price that didn't make them wince. Too many people in Mulino, Molalla, Oregon City, Canby and West Linn have told me the same story: they called somebody for a small repair, nobody showed up, or the bill at the end didn't look anything like the number on the phone. That's not how this should work.
Before I went out on my own, I spent five years working in property management, maintenance and remodeling. That meant walking through hundreds of Oregon homes, finding the same problems over and over, and getting them fixed before the next tenant moved in or the next inspection came around. You learn fast in that line of work. You can't fake it when the property manager is waiting on a turnover and the clock is ticking.
