Why us

Cleaner Vent, Safer Home.

Three reasons this is one of the highest-ROI 90 minutes you'll spend on your house all year.

  • 01

Full Line, Not Just the Trap

Cleaning the lint trap isn't enough. We brush the whole duct run from the dryer to the exterior hood, plus the flap and termination, where most clogs actually form.

  • 02

    Flat Visit Fee

One set price for a standard ground-floor vent. Roof terminations and unusually long runs are quoted up front before we start, never surprise-added on the invoice.

  • 03

    Airflow Tested Before We Leave

After cleaning, we run the dryer on heat and measure airflow at the hood. We don't call it done until clothes are drying in one cycle again.

A few questions, then the fix

Dryer Vent Cleaning, Explained.

Is your dryer taking two cycles to dry a load? That's the most common sign your vent line is clogged with lint. We hear it from folks in Mulino, Molalla and Oregon City a lot, especially in homes where the laundry room is on an interior wall and the vent run is 15 or 20 feet long with a couple of elbows. Lint builds up where the duct changes direction, airflow drops, the dryer cycles longer and longer, and eventually the thermal fuse pops or (worst case) lint near the heating element catches.

Is dryer lint really a fire risk? Yes, and not a small one. The U.S. Fire Administration estimates roughly 2,900 home clothes dryer fires per year, with failure to clean being the leading factor. Lint is highly flammable, and a clogged vent traps the heat right where it can ignite. That's not a scare tactic; it's the reason this is one service we never skip a step on.

How does the cleaning actually work? We disconnect the dryer from the wall, brush the line with a flexible rotating rod from inside the laundry room, push through the full duct to the exterior hood, then vacuum everything out. We also clean the flap, scrub the hood louvers, and check the transition hose between the dryer and the wall (those crush easily and trap lint on their own). Once it's all back together, we run the dryer for five minutes and check airflow at the hood with a meter.

Good to know

Dryer Vent Questions.

How often should I have my dryer vent cleaned?
Once a year for most homes. Bump it to every six months for busy laundry households or homes with pets that shed. If you've never had it cleaned since moving in, that's worth doing now, even if the dryer still seems fine. A lot of houses we visit in Mulino and Canby haven't been touched since the dryer was installed.
Can't I just vacuum out the lint trap really well?
The lint trap is only the first inch or two of the path. The clogs that cause fires and long dry times are in the duct between the dryer and the exterior wall, where you can't reach with a vacuum. That whole run is what we clean.
Is dryer lint actually a fire risk?
Yes. Lint is highly flammable and a clogged vent traps heat near it. The U.S. Fire Administration ties roughly 2,900 home dryer fires per year to failure to clean. We cite the source because it matters: this isn't a sales pitch, it's a real risk that takes 90 minutes to remove.
How long does the visit take?
Ground-floor vents usually take 60 to 90 minutes including the airflow test. Roof-vented or second-floor laundry rooms take a little longer because we're working a longer line. We give you a window when we book.
What if my laundry room is on the second floor and the vent goes up through the roof?
We do those all the time, mostly in newer Canby and West Linn builds. We clean from inside up through the duct rather than working from the roof, which is faster and safer. Just give us a heads-up when you call so we plan for the extra time.
Will you replace my transition hose if it's the crushed plastic kind?
Yes. Those white ribbed plastic hoses are no longer to code and trap a ton of lint. We swap them for semi-rigid foil duct, which the manufacturer and code both call for. Add-on cost is small if we're already there.
Can you tell me if my exterior vent hood needs replacing?
Definitely. While we're cleaning we check whether the flap moves freely, whether birds or critters have nested in it (we see this in Mulino especially), and whether the louvers are broken. If it needs replacement we'll quote it on the spot and usually have the right hood on the truck.
Do you also clean other ducts and air vents?
Dryer vents only. Full HVAC duct cleaning is a different specialty with different equipment, and we'd rather you call a duct cleaning specialist for that. Dryer vents we do as a focused service and we do them well.
