Neighbors say

Loved by Silverton.

"Friend in Mount Angel recommended him. Re-hung two original doors, patched plaster behind the laundry, and swapped a fixture in the hallway. Honest pricing, careful work."
Joanne K., downtown Silverton
"Fence run kept giving us trouble. He re-set three posts in fast-set concrete, added a tension cable across a long stretch, and the gates latch perfectly through the wet season."
Mark T., near Coolidge-McClaine, Silverton
"Full fall list on a rural lot: gutters, weather strip, two deck boards and a leaky outdoor faucet. One visit, flat quote, done before dark. Already booked him for spring."
Becca W., out toward Silver Falls

The Silverton Handyman Your Friend Recommends.

Most of our Silverton calls don't come from an ad. They come from somebody who already had us out. A Mount Angelneighbor whose sister bought a place near Coolidge-McClaine Park. A Molalla client whose folks retired into a downtown Silverton bungalow. A Mulino regular who told her hiking friend about us. That word of mouth is the backbone of our Silverton work, and we keep it going by showing up on time and charging what we said.

What does that look like in practice? It looks like sending a per-item ballpark by text before the visit, arriving in the window we promised, walking the list with you for five minutes, and quoting each item before any tools come out. No clock-watching, no surprise add-ons, no upsells. When a neighbor says "use Keenon," they're staking a little of their own credibility on it, and we treat that seriously.

Ready when you are

Got a list? Let's knock it out.

Text a few photos and you'll usually have a per-item ballpark back the same day. Silverton visits typically slot in within the week.

Good questions

Silverton FAQ.

Where in Silverton do you actually work?
All of it. The historic blocks downtown near Water Street, the homes up by Coolidge-McClaine Park, the rural lots out toward Silver Falls Highway, and the newer builds tucked off Cascade and Pine. Silverton is a regular weekly stop for us out of Mulino.
We're in one of those older downtown Silverton houses. Are you careful with original trim and floors?
Yes. Hand-planed fir trim, picture rails, single-pane double-hung windows and original hardwoods all get patience instead of replacement when we can manage it. Drop cloths down on the floors, dust controlled, and we re-hang rather than rip and replace where the old hardware still has life in it.
Who recommended you in Silverton?
Probably a Mount Angel or Mulino neighbor first, then word spread. A lot of our Silverton calls come from somebody who already had us out and passed the number along. Same pattern as how we got going in Molalla, Canby and Oregon City. Word of mouth still works.
Do you work with the rentals near downtown?
Often. Turnover punch lists bundle nicely into one visit. Smoke and CO detectors, door latches, weather strip, blind brackets, leaky angle stops, drywall patches, fixture swaps. You get a clean invoice and photos to send the property manager or owner.
What about the country lots out toward Silver Falls?
Those are some of our favorite Silverton calls. Long driveways, well houses, gates and barn doors that have shifted, fence runs that the deer keep testing, exterior caulk that the south sun cooks open. Send a few photos and a description and we'll send back a per-item ballpark the same day.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. The Dandy Handyman is licensed, bonded and insured in Oregon, CCB #253174. Happy to email proof to your HOA, landlord or property manager before we head out.
How fast can you get to Silverton?
Most weeks we can be on a Silverton porch within three or four days. Spring and fall are our busiest stretches, so the sooner you reach out the better. Smaller fixes sometimes slot in within 48 hours if a Mulino, Molalla or Canby job finishes early.
Is the $150 minimum reasonable for one small Silverton repair?
Only if you've got a list. For one wobbly fixture by itself, you're paying mostly for the trip. For three fixtures, a sticky door, a fence picket and a weather-strip swap, the math works out fine. Most Silverton clients save up a list and we clear it in one visit.
